Unified Games Day is simply the best day of the year!
This year's event was a huge success, hosting 10 schools and culminating in an exciting teachers versus students game. The day was filled with non-stop smiles, from the JV Dance team's performance to the introduction of Seniors and their parents. The entire student body's enthusiasm was palpable, with roof-lifting cheers accompanying every basket, especially when the student team was introduced with dimmed lights. Hands down, there's no better day!
Lifetime Fitness Class Enjoys Ice Skating Field Trip
Students in our Lifetime Fitness class recently took a trip to Walker Ice and Fitness, where they enjoyed a fun and active day of ice skating. The outing provided a great opportunity for students to build skills, stay active, and try something new outside the classroom. Laughter and smiles filled the rink as students supported one another, practiced their balance, and gained confidence on the ice. Whether it was their first time skating or they were more experienced, everyone had a wonderful time. Experiences like this highlight the importance of lifelong fitness and reinforce how staying active can be both healthy and enjoyable. A big thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable trip possible!

Junior Parents/Families Please Read
Dear Junior Parents/Guardians, Junior year has a reputation for being the most difficult of a student’s high school career, and that is partially because of the junior testing requirements. In the state of Michigan, throughout the month of April, juniors take the Michigan Merit Exam (MME), which includes three separate assessments:
On Thursday, February 25th, juniors attended a class meeting which provided them with basic information about these tests, the benefits of doing well, and how Kenowa Hills Public Schools’ historic scores compare to other districts in the state.
The goal of this meeting was to help students understand why they should give their best effort on these three assessments. The effort they put into these assessments reflects their integrity and perseverance, and their scores impact how those outside of our district view our school. Furthermore, their scores can help them stand out in a competitive job market or college application pool. These are messages we will continue to reiterate with all juniors as we approach testing season in April.
More information on each of these tests will be provided to both students and parents/guardians. In the meantime, we ask that you assist us in our efforts to support and empower all of our juniors to try their best on these assessments so they can reap the benefits that come with doing well. Together, we can help our students reach their full potential. Thank you,
Kristy McPherson-Leitz

About Hadestown
This intriguing and beautiful folk musical delivers a deeply resonant message about the importance of hope and faith in one another. Following two intertwining love stories—that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and Lady Persephone—Hadestown: Teen Edition invites audiences on a journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Anaïs Mitchell’s beguiling musical pits doubt against faith and fear against love. New Raptor Visitor Management System
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing safe and secure learning environments, we are excited to announce the implementation of the Raptor Visitor Management System beginning this school year. This new system will replace our traditional paper sign-in process and provide a more effective way to monitor and track visitors, volunteers, and guests on campus.
When visiting our school, guests will check in at the front office by presenting a government-issued photo ID. The Raptor system will:
For those wishing to volunteer, please remember that a district background check is required annually in addition to the Raptor sign-in process. To begin this step, simply bring your photo ID to the front office.
We appreciate your support in helping us strengthen campus safety. With your partnership, we can ensure a safe learning environment for every student.
