Hello Families,
We wrapped up the month of September with a celebration of the many positive choices our students made. At today’s assembly, one student from each class was recognized for showing the September character trait—empathy. Students also traded in their CARE cards for prizes, and the class that showed the best hallway behavior
enjoyed a special treat. We are proud to be Kids Who CARE!

Walker Pumpkin Bash
New Location: While construction on the new Walker Library is underway, we’re “carving out” a new location for Pumpkin Bash at Walker Community Park, a spot already known for hosting our summer concerts. The event will also take place at a new time this year, on Saturday, October 4, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. From treats to seasonal activities, Pumpkin Bash remains a “boo-tiful” way to celebrate autumn and the upcoming Halloween season with the community, just in a different pumpkin patch this year. Free pumpkins for kids under 12, live music, donuts and cider, pumpkin decorating, critter barn, and trick or treating. Costumes encouraged!
Hello Families,
At Zinser, we have been focusing on the character trait of empathy this past month. Building connections strengthens our ability to understand others and practice empathy. Too much screen time can sometimes get in the way of forming meaningful relationships and may make it easier to engage in conflict without compassion. Thank you for supporting your children in setting healthy boundaries around screen time and encouraging opportunities to connect with others!

Read MoreHello Families,
P.E. is an exciting and active part of your child’s week! To help them feel comfortable and ready to participate, please keep these
reminders in mind:
Shoes & Socks: Make sure your child wears proper shoes and socks on P.E. days. While we have a few extras available, it takes time to find the right size, and socks are not always provided.
Appropriate Clothing: Dress your child in comfortable, layered clothing that’s easy to move in.
For Older Students: With all the running and activity, older students can work up a sweat. A regular routine of using deodorant helps them stay fresh and confident throughout the school day.

Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers. Instead of teaching to a broad group of students without an understanding of their individual strengths and weaknesses, Personal Mastery allows teachers to interact with students individually or in small groups to help them better address their weaknesses.
