Hello KHMS! Our students have started their 2nd trimester this week and have settled in nicely. The mental health spirit awareness week has been well participated in, it is great to see the support they have for their classmates. We want to remind our KH families that Student Services is available to support students if they are experiencing any mental health needs, like anxiety or negative thoughts, or if they are aware of another student who is struggling. Also, if they see or hear anything that makes them feel concerned about school safety, please speak to the nearest adult. Please know that KHMS staff cares for our students and that they are loved and supported. We use the following resources to report any crime or person threatening harm to anyone in our Kenowa Hills Community:

Hello KHMS!
In addition to taking care of our students and the school community, a priority at the Middle School and throughout the district this year is supporting students to grow their mathematical skills and thinking. Recognizing that our students have experienced interruptions in their academics, and vary in experiences & levels of understanding, we are striving to meet the needs of all learners. One tool we are using this year to meet student needs is Khan Academy MAPPERS. This platform allows us to input individual student NWEA data so that the practice opportunities are targeted to each student's readiness level. These practices are available to students at all times. As a school, we are using Connect time on Wednesdays as time for all students to practice skills that will grow mathematical thinking. If you are looking for ways to support your child at home, this is a great resource for them to use 2-3 times per week for 15-20 minutes. We are grateful to partner with you on your child's math journey. GO KNIGHTS!

Our Personal Mastery educational experience has redefined education and has gained attention around the state and nation. Personal Mastery provides your child with personalized attention from teachers.
