Happy Friday Zinser Families,

Thank you to all of our families who participated in Parent/Teacher Conferences! A special thank you as well to everyone who donated food, drinks, treats, and funds to help feed our teachers and staff during those evenings — your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Here’s some important information about our upcoming Halloween parties and parade:

Volunteers:
Only those who have signed up with their child’s teacher and have an approved background check may enter the building.
Our new Raptor Security System takes a few moments to scan IDs and print visitor badges. To help speed up the process, please download the Raptor Safe App ahead of time. [Directions Here]

Signing Out:
After the parade, families wishing to take their child home early should sign out in the office, unless other arrangements have been made with the teacher. Teachers will also have sign-out sheets in their classrooms. Please remember that only parents with approved visitor badges may enter the building.

Parade Route:
We have a new parade route this year! Cones will be set up to mark where families can stand and watch.

Check out the flyer for our annual pumpkin carving contest!!

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping make this a fun and safe event for all our students!

Have a great weekend,
Brooke Johnston

Hello Families,

Be sure to check out this week’s newsletter for important dates, fun Spirit Week details, links to activities for your child, and more! We hope you enjoy a wonderful Fall Break and look forward to seeing everyone back on Wednesday, October 15th.

Thank you for supporting your child in our annual Read-A-Thon Fundraiser, which kicked off this week! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, organized by the Zinser Family Council, and it helps fund all the amazing things we do throughout the school year. Every dollar raised goes directly back to Zinser students and staff—supporting classroom supplies, field trips, holiday celebrations, special events, and more. Plus, it encourages students to read and take pride in contributing to their school community.

Registration began on October 6 at mybooster.com/v3. Parents can create a personalized account for their child using the parent/guardian’s birthday. Once the account is set up, you’ll be able to:

Share your child’s donation link via email, text, or social media

Log your child’s daily reading minutes

Join in on the fun, friendly competition!

There are awesome prizes for students and classes who participate—check out the newsletter for all the details!
