Thank you for choosing Kenowa Hills and welcome to Knighthood! Through these challenging times, it is our goal to keep teachers and families safe, so decisions this fall will be made on how to best meet your family according to state COVID-19 guidelines.

Kindergarten and K-Knights/Young Fives: Screening Day and Registration Information

Kenowa Hills Kindergarten and K-Knights (Young 5’s) screening will take place in August. You will sign-up for an appointment at your child’s home school. At this appointment, a program recommendation will be made (Kindergarten or K-Knights/Young 5’s)

Alpine Elementary - August 10 & 11 (Monday, Tuesday)
Central Elementary - August 11 & 12 (Tuesday, Wednesday)
Zinser Elementary - August 10 & 11 (Monday, Tuesday)

Throughout the summer, we will communicate more information about these appointments and your child’s first year as a Knight!

Athletics

The MHSAA has waived the pre-participation physical requirement for students who received a valid physical for sports during the 2019-20 school year (one completed on or after APRIL 15, 2019) for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Please read this letter for full details.

KHMS Open Houses

Due to COVID-19 and recent restrictions on large groups, there have been some changes to registration for the upcoming school year in order to adhere to the government orders and to keep everyone safe. Please note your student must be registered for face to face or online learning NO LATER than August 10th.

Registration times will be based on your student’s last name. We cannot be flexible with these dates and times. Adhering to your scheduled date and time ensures that we can maintain social distancing guidelines and avoid large groups.

Times and Dates (by last name are as follows):

August 12th:
A-L Noon - 3:30 pm
M-Z 3:30 pm - 7 pm

August 13
M-Z Noon - 3:30 pm
A-L 3:30 pm - 7 pm

Guidelines For Registration:

  • You MUST complete the online registration before you come. If you are a returning student you will need to update your information and initial and accept our annual policies.
  • Only 1 adult is permitted to attend with their student.
  • Masks are required.
  • You may walk throughout the building (no congregating).
  • You MUST adhere to 6 ft social distancing.
  • Please check online for your schedule prior to arrival (schedules should be posted no later than August 11th in Powerschool). For sanitary purposes, NO paper schedules will be handed out. You will have an opportunity to make schedule changes at registration if need be.
  • ChromeBook insurance will be taken at registration ($20 per school year).
  • Geskus will be available for school photos and ID’s (photo packets were mailed out).
  • Sports sign ups and information for fall sports will be posted.
  • Chromebooks, lockers, and locks will not be handed out at registration. They will be handed out the first week of school.

PLEASE NOTE:

In order for your student to receive their Chromebooks, the online registration MUST BE COMPLETED. It is critical we have up to date contact information for each student and that you initial and accept our annual policies. This information was sent via email and mail.

Pathways High School

Open House

4-6 pm

Students will be able to pick up their schedules, chrome books, picture information and meet with their teachers for the 2020-2021 school year.
