On behalf of the Board of Education and the entire staff of Kenowa Hills Public Schools, thank you for considering our District! Whether this is your first or last child attending kindergarten, this year will be a milestone for your family. I am confident you will find that Kenowa Hills Public Schools is an outstanding learning community that takes tremendous pride in our students, parents, and the responsibilities we have as educators in preparing the youth for the future.
Please find included with this letter a flyer that outlines some important dates that we hope will assist you with preparing your child for kindergarten. Specifically, we will be holding a District-Wide Parent Meeting on the evening of March 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Café at Central Elementary (4252 3 Mile Road NW). I hope you are able to attend. Additionally, each of our elementary locations will be hosting a Kindergarten Orientation. Kindergarten Orientations will be held from 9:00AM to 7:00PM at the following buildings:
Monday, April 20 at Alpine Elementary
Tuesday, April 21 at Central Elementary
Thursday, April 23 at Zinser Elementary
More information about this event will be provided at the District-Wide Parent Meeting on March 5.
If you reside outside of the Kenowa Hills boundaries, you are welcome to attend the parent meeting and the orientation at one of our elementary schools. This does not guarantee your child a Schools of Choice spot in kindergarten. The Schools of Choice window will open April 13 and close on May 29. More details about Schools of Choice can be found here.
Again, thank you for considering Kenowa Hills Public Schools. I look forward to meeting you at the parent meeting on March 5 at the Café at Central Elementary.
