Education Foundation

The Kenowa Hills Education Foundation (KHEF) was established in 1986 by a group of visionary local citizens.  The foundation provides financial support for innovative and creative educational opportunities for students of Kenowa Hills Public Schools beyond what can be provided by the school budget. 

The foundation is governed by a volunteer board of trustees who are responsible for collecting, managing and dispersing the funds.  Since its inception, over $150,000 have been awarded to Kenowa Hills' staff through mini-grants.  The KHEF is a separate entity from the Kenowa Hills Public Schools and Kenowa Hills Board of Education.  

With your support, we can continue the work that was started in 1986.  The need still exists, and the KHEF intends to provide financial support for innovative and creative educational programs well into the future.  Each dollar contributed is an investment in the future of Kenowa Hills Public Schools and its students.  

There are two ways in which you can support our efforts.  First, we are looking for trustees to serve on the foundation.  KHEF meetings are held once per month. These meetings are generally the 2nd Monday of the month.  All meetings are held at 7:30 a.m. in the small conference room of the Administration Building.  Trustees also support the foundation's fundraising efforts whenever their busy schedule permits.  

The foundation also appreciates and needs financial support.  A check payable to the Kenowa Hills Education Foundation, securities and other financial donations are welcomed.  Contributions can be mailed to the KHEF, 2325 Four Mile Rd NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544.
