Zinser Living Lab
|
The Zinser Elementary School Living Lab is recognized by the National Wildlife Federation as a Schoolyard Habitat. The enclosed nature area contains representations of three distinct Michigan habitats; forest, prairie, and pond. Zinser students have also included bird feeders and houses, a daffodil garden, and a compost center. The classroom area allows students and teachers to conduct lessons outdoors. Currently two varieties of turtles and several garter snakes make the Living Lab their home. Seasonally several species of birds also nest in the Lab. Feel free to stop in and enjoy the Lab!
