Dear Parents,
It is unbelievable that we are wrapping up another powerfully good and important school year. Thank you all for being such great partners in educating our citizens. It is vital that we prepare young people to take their place in our democratic system. A system that is based on liberty, equality, respect, rule of law, and care for people less fortunate. Last week Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, visited our city and honored the United States of America for being not just a great democracy but for having a system in place that makes the democracy work. The Public Schools and each of you are a vital part of that system. We thank you for being partners with us every single day. Our young people have grown and developed into amazing citizens and we are very proud of their accomplishments. We could never do this without the support of ALL of you. Thank you and have a great, safe summer.
