DISTRICT-WIDE KINDERGARTEN PARENT INFORMATION MEETING
There will be a parent information meeting on May 15 and 17, 2012, at 6:30PM at the Kenowa Hills High School Performing Arts Center. Registration information, details about the building-level kindergarten orientation and general information about the kindergarten experience will be discussed. Superintendent Hopkins, Mike Burde, Director of Curriculum & Instruction, and elementary principals will be available to share information and answer questions. Please mark your calendar to attend one of these informational sessions.
BUILDING-LEVEL KINDERGARTEN ORIENTATION
Kindergarten orientation will be held on May 24, 2012 from 9:00AM to 7:00PM at Alpine Elementary, Central Elementary and Zinser Elementary. Please contact your home school to schedule an appointment for your child’s visit. Our goal for orientation is to provide you and your child a great first experience in our buildings as well as allow us an opportunity to get to know you and your child.
Your child must be 5 years old as of December 1, 2012 and be a resident of the Kenowa Hills Public Schools district.
Registration forms can be downloaded at www.khps.org or forms are available at your home elementary school office.

Please bring your child’s state birth certificate, up-to-date immunization record and proof of residency with you to the building-level kindergarten orientation.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION PRESCHOOL
The Kenowa Hills Public Schools Community Education Department offers preschool for 3 and 4 year olds. This is a tuition-based program. DAYCARE AND LEARNING CENTER
Kenowa Hills Public Schools offer both a Before and After School Program for children from kindergarten to 5th grade as well as all day classes lead by Michigan Certified Teachers for 2.5 to 5 year olds. Our hours of operation are from 6:30AM to 6:00PM year- round, offering care throughout school breaks, snow days, and vacations. Enrollment is not limited to Kenowa Hills residents - open enrollment is for any parent in need of child care. Please call 616-647- 0910 and ask for Kelley for more information.
GREAT START READINESS PROGRAM
Kenowa Hills Public Schools offer a free preschool for students who turn 4 on or before December 1, 2012, live in the Kenowa Hills School District and meet certain qualifying factors.
