Our school works with the Kent County Health Department to report selected communicable diseases (Public Act 368 of 1978). Working with the Health Department helps the community at large by identifying outbreaks and epidemics and to enable preventative treatment. If your child is sick, please call the office by 9:00 AM. When you call, give us a description of the illness and report the type of disease, if known. If your child has a fever, is vomiting, or has diarrhea, do not send them to school until they have been fever/vomiting/diarrhea FREE for 24 hours. We know all children get sick and we do not want you to send your child to school if he/she is ill. Please keep in mind that the absence policy states that a student have no more than 10 absences in a school year. We feel that absences beyond 10 per year is a hinderance to academic achievement. Thank you. |
