Welcome Katie Pennington, our new high school principal!

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Katie Pennington as the principal of Kenowa Hills High School. Mrs. Pennington was one of twenty-six (26) applicants, four of which were interviewed. Mrs. Pennington was the unanimous decision of two committees comprised of fifteen (15) individuals including high school teachers, support staff, a parent and building and district administrators. She comes to Kenowa Hills having been the principal at Rogers High School with Wyoming Public Schools for the last three years, and was previously assistant principal at Loy Norrix High School with Kalamazoo Public Schools for two years. She was also a social studies and French teacher at Loy Norrix High School. Mrs. Pennington completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership through Western Michigan University.
