Additions to the Art Gallery!

Students at Alpine Elementary continue to show their creativity in Mrs. Vanderhart's art classes.

Students in third grade participated in a lesson on color value--the lightness or darkness of a color. Students painted with washes of instant coffee powder for a surprising way to create a mysterious landscape. Please see additional student work in the art gallery link. The painting shown here was done by Mitchell Punches.

In addition, there are examples of some 4th grade marker line designs posted in the art gallery. Students drew leaf shapes, filled them with lines and line patterns, then added parallel "energy" lines to add movement and rhythm to their work.

ENJOY!
