"What a great way to learn about history!" exclaimed Alpine Elementary third graders from Mrs. Hartley's and Mrs. Kimble's classes. On October 16, all Kenowa Hills third graders participated in a Michigan Outdoor Adventure Day at Hiedi's Farmstand in Lowell.
They saw Michigan history come alive as they visited an Ottawa Native American village and French fur trading post. They they also walked through a corn maze and explored pioneer farming. Students visited Grandma's trunk where they learned first hand about daily chores for a pioneer family.
Everyone really enjoyed tasting and comparing a variety of Michigan apples. The doughnuts and cider were delicious too! It was a fun day of learning for all!
