Alpine's AR Stars

Alpine Elementary has an AR Star Honor Roll wall to recognize our AR student's efforts in 1st through 4th Grade. Students work for AR points which qualify them for their star up. Once they have earned their star students then can earn the "Page" award followed by the "Squire" award. Last, student earn the "Knight" awards as the final accomplishment. These award points vary according to grade level. Students also get recognition for working toward certification goals such as "Advanced Reader", "Star Reader, and "Classic Reader".

This spring's Knight Stars are: First grade: Mishelle Bergsma 31.9 pts; Second Grade: Fatima Alonso-Chavez 50.1, Erica Green 53.3 pts., Gabrielle Schafer 54.3 pts., McKayla Thompkins 54.3 pts., Adele Cochrane 66 pts., Nick May 71.3 pts.,Trenton Fochtman 83.2 pts, Roberto Ornelas 100.4 pts, Hunter Denkema 102.5 pts., Joshua Bergsma 131.2 pts and Luke Bekins 162.2 pts. Third Grade: Ashley Wright 78.9 pts., Felicia Good 100.6 pts., Katherine Westfall 164.4 pts., Sidra
Elvey 184.5 pts. Fourth Grade: Cheyanne Kennebrew 103.3.

Sidra Elvey was our school's overall points winner. As a special honor, her name was added to our Alpine Elementary plaque of AR fame!
