On October 31, Alpine celebrated Halloween at our school with our annual Halloween parade! This has been a tradition at Alpine Elementary for many years. Family and friends were invited to assist during classroom parties and to see our students walk through the gym after second recess. In addition, students traveled to other classrooms to share their costumes with others. Some classrooms had their classroom parties in the morning, while other had their parties following the parade. Teachers and parents worked together to develop some fun-filled activities for students. These activities included such things as: face painting, small projects (spider hats, masks, skeleton fingers), musical chairs, bucket toss, donut grab, bobbing for apples and even a pinata. An interesting fact that should be known is that the fourth grade students in Mrs. Smoes class learned a lot about cooperation by working together to plan their classroom party themselves! This day was a wonderful way to celebrate our school community and a great opportunity to see our students' family members and/or friends. It was also an excuse for us adults to have a little fun as well! Many of our school staff participated in the parade as well. There are more pictures from the parade viewable in our student gallery.
