Great Start to the School Year!

AlpineOH.JPG

Our first two weeks of school have passed by incredibly fast. Teachers have begun creating their classroom communities and students have been learning and practicing various concepts. In addition, we had our first assembly. I love seeing the excited faces in the morning when I greet the students and the smiling ones when they leave.

Thanks to everyone for making our open house a great success. We had over 150 families attend! I was fortunate to meet many students and parents I did not know as well as see many that I have had the privilege of knowing. It is wonderful seeing the dedication that all of you have to the education of your child.

I look forward to seeing everyone at our Carnival. The PTO is currently looking for volunteers. Some of you who have expressed interest will be getting a call shortly. However, if you are eager to get involved, please do not hesitate to call the school. ALL parents are part of the PTO. We are fortunate to have a welcoming group of officers who are always looking forward to seeing new faces.

Lastly, our teachers spend a great deal of time writing newsletters that go home with their students on a regular basis. I enjoy reading these as they help me know about all the happenings at each grade level and in each classroom. Please keep an eye out for these as they often provide crucial information about what is happening and needed at Alpine and in the classroom.
