Third grade students at Alpine Elementary enhanced their vertebrates lesson by going on a study trip to the Van Andel Museum. At the museum students saw various stuffed models and skeletons of vertebrates studied in class. They also expanded their knowledge about animal habitats. Gavyn Frahm took notes and enjoyed the third floor view of the life size whale skeleton hanging in the museum. Study trips provide real life, hands-on learning that helps students retain knowledge learned in the classrooms of Kenowa Hills Public Schools. |
