Soon, black-and-gold Kenowa Pride! signs will be popping up in area yards. The Kenowa Hills Education Foundation is selling the signs for just $10 each. All proceeds will go directly to the Foundation to enhance the educational opportunities of our students. Signs are being sold at each school office and will be sold at upcoming Knights football games. A special thanks to the KHEF for sponsoring this fundraiser and to Icon Sign for donating the signs. Let’s cover the area with Kenowa Pride! Go Knights! |

Although most necessary supplies for our classroom have already been purchasedby the Kenowa Hills School District, we know that each year there are manyfamilies who ask if they can donate any additional supplies for our room. Therefore, we have created the following list of items for anyone who wishes todonate extra supplies that will be readily used and greatly appreciated. Please donot write your child’s name on it because the supplies will be shared by all thestudents in our classroom. Donations are not mandatory! |

Our school works with the Kent County Health Department to report selected communicable diseases (Public Act 368 of 1978). Working with the Health Department helps the community at large by identifying outbreaks and epidemics and to enable preventative treatment. If your child is sick, please call the office by 9:00 AM. When you call, give us a description of the illness and report the type of disease, if known. If your child has a fever, is vomiting, or has diarrhea, do not send them to school until they have been fever/vomiting/diarrhea FREE for 24 hours. |

To avoid any confusion, if transportation ends up being different than what your child's teacher has on record, the following procedures need to be followed: * Send a note to your student's teacher explaining the transportation change. * If a note isn't sent, a phone call must be placed to the office no later than 3:00 PM on the effective date so the teacher has adequate time to make the change. |

ApplicationsKenowa Hills participates in both the Kent Intermediate School District Schools of Choice Plan and the Section 105c State plan. All students residing within the Kent Intermediate School District may apply for enrollment in any Kent ISD school that has available openings during the advertised timeframe (usually open during the spring). Students who reside in a district that is within a different ISD which borders the Kent ISD, may also apply under the Section 105c plan depending on available openings. Students who have been suspended or expelled may be excluded. Applications for both types of Schools of Choice are below. |
