Thank you for supporting the Kenowa Hills School Store with the T-shirt oders. We would like to make one last push to make the sale a super success. We need your help by putting the t-shirt order form on your school website and make an anouncement to remind kids to give the forms to their parents and order shirts. Thank you so much for all you've already done, we have made success already and can't wait to make it bigger. With your help this can be the biggest t-shirt sale kenowa HIlls has ever had. We hope you are as passionate about this sale as we are.
Thanks again for the support,

Kenowa Hills School Store (Sarah Krieger)

We are starting something new and great here at Central. We will be opening a care closet. We have the space and we have the need. This closet will be set-up for us teachers to help provide snacks for students. If a greater need like a winter jacket, snowpants, hats, gloves, or mittens are needed we will be able to utilize the resources we have to help provide it through the care closet. Wrapped snack donations are appreciated as we begin to fill that room. Please send any snacks donations in with your student and have them give it to their teacher. We look forward to fulfilling the needs of our students with the opening of the Central Care Closet.

policies at Central Elementary. Please answer the questions for
Central Ele. only, not district wide.

We would greatly appreciate your time and input if you would complete
this survey by November 12, 2012.

Students learned the different ways that seeds can travel and how animals and nature interact.

Here is a pic of some students doing an activity "Saving Fred" in which they had to problem solve and work with a partner to save "Fred" (a gummy worm) from drowning! :) Lots of laughing, teamwork and problem solving.

Reading And Math Support

Central Elementary has three Intervention Specialist that support qualifying students in math and reading.  Assessment takes place multiple times during the school year to monitor student growth to determine whether continued support by a specialist is necessary.  The start of the school year necessitates the need to assess students so that we are servicing the students with the greatest need. This may mean that students that received support last year may not qualify for support this year. If your child qualifies for support in math or reading, you will be receiving a letter home.

Recently the following information has been sent home with your child.
